One of the last brands still making wool coats in Canada.

Lorne’s opened on Queen West in 1978, working from a Toronto factory established thirty years earlier. Three generations later the family still runs both. Fine cloth is woven in Italy, then cut, canvassed and finished here — which is why a Lorne’s overcoat is measured in decades rather than seasons.

Wool & Cashmere

The house cloth. Fabrics woven in Italy, cut and finished in our Toronto factory. A wool-cashmere overcoat holds structure through a Canadian winter and reads as tailoring, not outerwear.

Warmer than wool at the same weight, and it drapes rather than stiffens. Suri alpaca carries a low lustre that photographs closer to silk than to knitwear.
